Meet GTCYS Staff Members
Denise Culshaw, Student Relations & Office Manager
Denise Culshaw (Student & Office Manager) joined the GTCYS staff in April 2002. No stranger to Hennepin Center for the Arts, she’s worked in the building for 12 years with two other arts organizations. She was the Stage Manager for the Minnesota Dance Alliance's Studio 6A from 1992-2000, where she worked with both local and international choreographers and performers, including Joe Chvala and the Flying Foot Forum, Zenon Dance Company, Ragamala Dance Theater, Paula Mann Dance, Robin Steihm Dancing People Company, Hijack, Joe Goode, Bob Eisen, and Eiko & Koma. She was also the School Administrator for Minnesota Dance Theatre and School from 1998-2002.
Denise spent three seasons at The Children's Theatre Company as an Assistant Stage Manager, and has stage managed for other local groups including Theatre Mu and Young Dance. She has a BFA in Stage Management & Dance from the University of Minnesota, Duluth, and is a GTCYS alumna, having played violin with the group from 1979-1983.
