Description & Requirements
• GTCYS’ entry-level, strings only orchestra
• Typical grades: 4 – 8
• Focus on basics of ensemble playing and listening skills
• New members generally have reading experience through two sharps
• Review audition requirements

5730 Grove Street, Edina
From Highway 62: take Highway 62 (from either direction) and take the Tracy Avenue exit. Go north on Tracy Avenue. After passing Benton Avenue, take a left (heading west) onto Grove Street and proceed until you see the church on your right.
From the north: Drive south on Highway 100 to the Vernon Avenue Exit. Follow Vernon Avenue west as it winds around. Turn left (south) on Tracy Avenue. Take a right (heading west) onto Grove Street and proceed until you see the church on your right.
Parking: Park in the lower lot and enter through the double doors. Rehearsals are in the Robe Room, which is located in the Music Wing.

John Glenn Middle School (Band Room)
1560 East County Road B, Maplewood
The school is located at the corner of County Road B East and Hazelwood Avenue, west of White Bear Avenue and east of English Street. You may exit on White Bear Avenue from Highway 36 and go south in White Bear Avenue and turn west (right) on County Road B. You could also turn south at the stop light at English from Highway 36 and then turn east (left) on County Road B.
Eastbound Highway 36 from Minneapolis area: Take Highway 36 east and continue past Highway 61 to Hazelwood Avenue. Turn right (south) onto Hazelwood Avenue (there is no stop light at this turn). Continue half mile south to County Road B. School is on corner.
Westbound Highway 36 from Stillwater area: Take Highway 36 west to White Bear Avenue. Turn left (south) on White Bear Avenue. Continue half mile south to County Road B. Turn left (west) on County Road B. Continue to Hazelwood Avenue. School is on corner.
Parking: Park in the lot by the main entrance on the north side of the building. Enter through the main entrance. Rehearsals are in the Band Room down the left hallway.
