 Description & Requirements
• Typical grades: 9 – 12
• Students focus on individual musicianship and advanced ensemble skills
• Music from the standard professional repertoire
• Students proficient in all major and minor keys
• String players highly proficient in advanced positions and bow technique
• Wind and percussion players at an advanced level of sound and technique
• Percussionists tune timpani from a tuning fork
• Violists, cellists, trombonists and bassoonists read alternate clefs
• Trumpet and horn players transpose
• Students have excellent reading skills
• Review audition requirements

Driving Directions: Symphony
Good Samaritan Methodist Church, 5730 Grove Street, Edina

From Highway 62: take Highway 62 (from either direction) and take the Tracy Avenue exit. Go north on Tracy Avenue. After passing Benton Avenue, take a left (heading west) onto Grove Street and proceed until you see the church on your right.

From the north: Drive south on Highway 100 to the Vernon Avenue Exit. Follow Vernon Avenue west as it winds around. Turn left (south) on Tracy Avenue. Take a right (heading west) onto Grove Street and proceed until you see the church on your right.

Parking: park in the upper lot and enter through the double doors. Rehearsals are in the Fellowship Hall on the left.
