About the Instructor: Lara Dietrich founded Maestoso in 2013 to serve families in the Twin Cities west metro area. Lara has been teaching music lessons in the Twin Cities since 2006. She has a Bachlor’s degree in Music Education from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, where she discovered her passion for giving students a strong musical foundation. Lara’s students master all the basics of music, taking what they learn back to their school and community ensembles.

Use Suzuki Method? No, I use the fundamental philosophy of Suzuki training to help my students sharpen their ears and feel independent on their instrument.

About the Instructor: Lauren is accepting new students for 2017-18.
With 10+ years of professional teaching experience with students ranging from beginners through adult amateurs to college students and professionals, Lauren focuses on each student, adapting lessons and goals to the individual’s personal needs. Her philosophy is based on the teachings of Arnold Jacobs and Jan Kagarice, encouraging each student to not only develop strong technique and accuracy, but also move beyond the physical approach to playing and delve into true music-making and innate expression.
Lauren’s students have auditioned for and won spots in the Minnesota All State bands as well as Greater Twin Cities Youth Orchestra, Minnesota Youth Symphony, and Minnesota Junior Winds. Former students of hers study music at prestigious institutions such as the University of Iowa and UW-Eau Claire. She encourages performances and recitals whenever possible, but also loves working with students just on the joy of learning a skill and making music.

About the Instructor: Paul Kile is the Director of Bands at Edina High School. He is both a trombone and euphonium player and currently plays euphonium with the Minnesota Symphonic Winds. He has been featured as a soloist with this ensemble and is a freelance trombone and euphonium player in the Twin Cities. Paul is accepting students on a case by case basis.
