The language of music is unique in that it can provide every listener with similar yet distinct messages of truth, beauty, freedom; this has motivated Greg to express his own authenticity through precise songwriting and improvisation.

About the Instructor: My name is Liya. I am delighted that you are investing in music education for your child! Through this experience your child will not only learn how to play an instrument, but he/she will also develop skills that will serve them lifelong such as self-discipline, perseverance, problem solving, poise, teamwork, and more. The primary focus will be on the development of fine motor skills and kind, loving hearts through the medium of learning how to play the instruments.
In addition, it is worth mentioning that the collaborative Suzuki Triangle experience is truly one of the most rewarding for the student, the parent, and the teacher. Family bonds are strengthened and students experience the highest levels of success when this loving environment is functioning at it’s optimum.
My passion in music is playing and teaching. I have performed actively as a soloist and as first violinist in Orchestras in Asia and South East Asia before I moved to North America in 2012, as well as teaching. I love bringing music to the Communities, move and touch more hearts. In Minnesota, I have performed as soloist in Churches, Nursing homes…I have performed with Golden Valley Orchestra as a Assistant Concert Master in 2016. In Utah, along with professors of South Utah University, we performed for an Art Studio.
My goal as the teacher is to help each of my students to develop their talents to their full potential, and to truly enjoy the music they are making. To this end, I would ask that you please read my studio policy thoroughly so that you will know what the expectations are and be prepared to assist me in working towards these goals.

About the Instructor: Jacqueline Schmidt is accepting new violinists and violists for the school year! Jacqueline’s studio is founded on the principles of Dr. Suzuki: Joy in music and developing “nobility of heart” (i.e. good character).
Jacqueline’s aim and wish is to create a musical environment that is supportive, creative and non-competitive. She believes that within every individual lies gifts, talents and brilliance; and that these are revealed through a positive work ethic — and lots of practice!
The best part of Jacqueline’s work is seeing students grow beyond what they thought was possible as they challenge themselves to reach personal bests. Achievement is its own reward.
This could mean successfully practicing every single day for a year like one of my 8-yr-old students, learning a “goal” concerto to play with their school orchestra, or getting into GTCYS. 🙂
Please feel free to browse student testimonials, performances, Jacqueline’s resume and credentials which can all be found here: jackieschmidt.com. You are welcome to contact her with questions or observe lessons. Thank you!
