2019 String Orchestra Camps – Registration open now!
Camp 1: June 24 – 28, 9:00am – 3:00pm daily; concert on June 28 at 12:30pm
Camp 2: July 8 – 12, 9:00am – 3:00pm daily; concert on July 12 at 12:30pm
Rehearsal Location: Landmark Center, Downtown St. Paul
Concert Location: Creative Arts Secondary School, Downtown St. PaulBudding young string players can participate in a fun string orchestra day camp where they’ll experience the excitement of playing in an orchestra, make new friends, grow musically, and have fun! Rehearsals, sectionals with professional coaches, fun social opportunities, field trips, and special music activities create a well-rounded musical experience. Register early!

  • Open to violin, viola, cello, or bass students age 8 – 13 who have approximately two years playing and reading experience – no audition!
  • Work with GTCYS conductor Mary Sorlie, outstanding professional coaches, and student mentors
  • Daily field trips to MPR Studios, Schubert Club instrument museum, Ordway, and more!
  • Perform at Creative Arts Secondary School, Downtown St. Paul
  • Need-based tuition scholarships available
